Destiny lurked somewhere in the heart of Ooty, the hill station down South. The journey was tiring, but the destination swept away all the hardships of the travel. Invigorating would be an understatement to describe the beauties of that place.
Cleverly kept hidden from the outside world and open to only those who know, the place exudes a charm, a rustic play of natural air and man made comforts. Seeing is believing. Destiny is the word.

So, the voter turnout was poor in Bangalore like most urban centres in
India. But was it only due to public apathy or was there apathy at
all.
Poll pundits had made excuses to offer. Apathy was of course one of
them. But the Election Commission's disciplinarian rules on the code
of conduct apparently tied down the otherwise bombastic campaigns of
the parties involved. The parties promptly blamed the poor turnout on
this. No campaign and thus no awareness. And so few voters knew who
the candidates were, and thus failed to turn up at the polling booth.
But is this simplistic rationale foolproof.
Many experts were not convinced. They cited the average voters
satisfaction with the political arrangements, the relative peace and
calm to support their stand that the EC was right in taking a tough
posture.
Of course, there were others too who completely overturned the voter
turnout debate citing the increased percentage of genuine voters this
time. If 44 per cent turned up to vote, all were genuine and that was
a good thing. If you had to blame something, you had to correct the
widespread disappearance of names from the genuine voters.
The loss of someone close is often irreparable. Life goes on, but the
memory of the dead lingers on like a sobering, haunting wound that
simply refuses to fade away in a hurry.
Time, as the cliche goes, might be a great healer. But in matters too
personal, the sands of time often forgets its healing job. Perhaps,
the chaotic, often aimless paths of today stands in the way of that
failed forgetfulness. Its tough to be in that cycle. A life built
around memories of the death. Tough but absurdly cathartic. ....
Sipping coffee from a branded outlet on Brigades might not exactly be
an idea to unwind, provided of course the company is ennervating.
Now was that outlet downmarket since it was deeply embedded in the
urban maze built off brigades. I wouldnt judge it too harsh. Yet,
compared with its big brother on MGs, it apparently was.
So, the Bengaluru International airport will eventually open on May
we. Or this also a tentative date only to be postponed yet again. Only
time will tell.
The airport was to take flight on March 30 but the unprepared Air
Traffic Control facility and incomeplete equipment forced the first
delay. The hype died young then. Its been a case of today or tomorrow
ever since.
For those wanting to retain the existing airport, it is disappointment
though. The Central government's announcement that the old airport
will close down for commercial operations comes as bad news for all
those campaigning for the retention of the HAL airport.
